Quality order line results (form)
Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012
Click Inventory management > Periodic > Quality management > Quality orders. Create a new quality order or select an existing quality order. Then click the Results button.
Use this form to enter the test result and the quantity for a selected test on a quality order.
To enter the results for a qualitative test, select an outcome, where the variable's outcome is defined as pass or fail. Enter the test result for a quantitative test. Do this by entering a value that reflects the specified unit of measure and its decimal precision. The test's minimum and maximum values determine whether the test result will have a pass or fail status. The form displays the status for each test result.
Multiple test results can be entered for a test to reflect different outcomes or values. You enter a result quantity for each result. The sum of quantities should equal the test quantity for the quality order. The total result quantity with a pass status determines whether the results meet the acceptable quality level (AQL) of the test. You can selectively exclude a test quantity and result from the AQL calculation of an individual test.
Examples
A quality order has one quantitative test with quality specifications expressed as a minimum and maximum acceptable value, and an AQL of 70 percent. The quality order has a test quantity of ten, and an AQL of 100 percent. Test results showed that seven items had the same value within acceptable limits, two items had an unacceptably high value, and one item had an unacceptably low value. After the entry of the three results and the associated quantity for each result, the test results met the test's AQL of 70 percent. Therefore the test has a pass status. The quality order has a pass status after it is validated. This is because 100 percent of the tests were passed.
In this example, the testing of an additional five items identified an acceptable value, which was entered as a test result but excluded from the AQL calculation for the test.
Navigating the form
The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.
Tabs

Overview |
Enter or view each test result and its associated quantity for a selected test on a quality order. |

Validate |
Perform the validation process for a single test, thereby updating the test status to pass or fail based on the AQL. |
Fields
Field |
Description |
---|---|
Result quantity |
Enter or view the tested quantity for the associated test result. |
Outcome |
Select or view the result (expressed as an outcome) for a qualitative test. A variable's outcome has a predefined status of pass or fail. |
Test result |
Enter or view the result (expressed as a value) for a quantitative test. The value should reflect test's unit of measure and its decimal precision. The test's minimum and maximum values determine whether the test result will have a pass or fail status. |
Include in result |
Select whether the tested quantity and its associated test result should be included or excluded from the AQL calculation for the test. The sum of included quantities should match the test quantity for the quality order, or you will receive a warning message. |
Used symbols |
Show whether the tested quantity (and its associated test result) has a pass or fail status. |
Quality order |
Display the identifier for the quality order. |
Sequence number |
Display the sequence number of the selected test on the quality order. |
Test |
Display the identifier of the selected test. |
Line number |
Display the system-assigned line number, which differentiates the entry of multiple results for a test. |
