Audit policy rule (form)

Click Compliance and internal controls > Common > Policies > Audit policies. Double-click the policy to modify or create rules for. On the Policy rules FastTab, select a policy rule type. In the Policy rules grid, double-click an existing policy rule, or click Create policy rule.
Use this form to create an audit policy rule based on the selected policy rule type. An audit policy rule consists of a database query that is run against source documents. Any source document that meets the criteria specified in the policy rule is flagged for audit.

This topic includes information about features that were added or changed for cumulative update 6 or later for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2. This information also applies to AX 2012 R3.

Select |
Open a form where you can create a database query. Note Certain fields are set up by default in the query form, depending on the selected policy rule type and its associated query. These fields are also displayed in the Audit policy rule form. For more information, see About audit policy rules. |

Validate the policy rule by running the policy rule query against the specified source document. |
Add |
Select the tables and fields to monitor for prohibited words. In Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 or Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, the words that you want to monitor must be specified in the Additional options form. This option is available only when the query type for the selected policy rule type is Keyword search. |
Remove |
Remove the selected table and field from the list of tables and fields that are monitored for prohibited words. This option is available only when the query type for the selected policy rule type is Keyword search. |

Effective date |
Enter the date and time that the policy rule takes effect. |
Expiration date |
Enter the date and time that the policy rule will be retired. |
Additional days to evaluate for duplicates |
Enter the number of days to add to the start of the document selection date range when documents are evaluated for duplicate entries. You can evaluate documents for duplicate entries starting up to 180 days before the first day of the document selection date range. To include only documents that are created in the document selection date range, enter 0 (zero). The document selection date range is specified in the Additional options form. This option is available only when the query type for the selected policy rule type is Duplicate. |
Sampling percentage |
Enter the percentage of documents to randomly select for audit. The percentage must be greater than 0 (zero), and less than or equal to 100. This option is available only when the query type for the selected policy rule type is Sampling. |
Address book role |
Select the address book role for the entity to monitor for audit. For audit policies that are related to expense reports, this is usually Workers. For audit policies that are related to vendor invoices, this is usually Vendors. This control is not available in versions of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 prior to cumulative update 6 for AX 2012 R2. |
Name |
Select the name of the entity to monitor. When you create a policy rule type based on a List search query type, the policy rules for that rule type flag source documents that include the entities selected here. This control is not available in versions of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 prior to cumulative update 6 for AX 2012 R2. |
Effective |
Select the first date when source documents will be reviewed for any occurrence of the selected entity. This control is not available in versions of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 prior to cumulative update 6 for AX 2012 R2. |
Expiration |
Select the last date when source documents will be reviewed for any occurrence of the selected entity. This control is not available in versions of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 prior to cumulative update 6 for AX 2012 R2. |
Description |
Enter the words that cause a source document to be flagged for audit. When you create a policy rule type based on a Keyword search query type, the policy rules for that rule type flag source documents that include the words entered here. This control is not available in versions of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 prior to cumulative update 6 for AX 2012 R2. |
