Signature requirement details (form)

Click Organization administration > Setup > Electronic signature > Electronic signature requirements. Select a requirement and click the Properties button.

Use the Signature requirement details form to define a custom signature requirement for a process.

Even if electronic signatures are not mandated by law, you can use them to help ensure that critical business processes comply with policies and regulations.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Description

Name of table

Select the table where the data for the process is stored.

Field name

Select the field in the table that you want to monitor.

When to require a signature

  • Always: Select this option if a signature is required any time a change is made to the selected table and field.

  • Only: Select this option if a signature should be required only on a specific type of change.

    If you select Only, you must also select the type of change that requires a signature. Select When a record is inserted if a signature is required only when a record is created. Select When a record is updated if a signature is required only when a record is changed. Select When a record is deleted if a signature is required only when a record is deleted.
