Shared categories (form)

Click Organization administration > Setup > Categories > Shared categories.

Click Project management and accounting > Setup > Categories > Shared categories.

Use this form to create shared expense categories that can be used across all of the legal entities in your organization. For example, if you create a shared expense category for Meal expenses, the Meals category name and description will be used by all of your legal entities

Category ID

View or enter the identifier for the shared expense category.

Category name

View or enter the name of the shared expense category.

Can be used in Project

Select this check box if this shared expense category can be used in Project management and accounting.

Can be used in Expense

Select this check box if this shared expense category can be used in Expense management.

Can be used in Production

Select this check box if this shared expense category can be used in Production.

Expense type

View or select the expense type of the shared expense category.

Expense subcategory name

View or enter the name of the expense subcategory.

Description

View or enter a brief description of the expense subcategory.

Exclude from tax recovery

Select this check box to exclude all transactions from this expense subcategory from any tax recovery.
