Add items (to quality group) (form)

Click Inventory management > Setup > Quality control > Quality groups. Select a quality group, click Setup, and then click Add items. In the Inquiry form, click OK.
Use this form to assign items to a quality group.
To assign items to a quality group, you first define the criteria for selecting items. For example, you can base the selection on the item group, buyer group, commodity code, production group, or other item attribute.
The form displays a list of the items to be assigned to the quality group, based on the criteria that you selected in the Inquiry form. The list does not include items that are already assigned to the quality group. To add these items to the quality group, click OK.
Note
You cannot manually add or delete items in the list of automatically selected items. To manually assign items to a quality group, use the Item quality groups form
Example
A manufacturing company defined the quality groups that correspond to common testing requirements for purchased items and wanted a shortcut approach for assigning items to the quality groups. The company had already assigned commodity codes to purchased items, and these codes closely matched the assignment of quality groups. For each quality group, the company used the Add items form to select and add items based on the commodity code. After items were added, the company manually maintained the list of items that were assigned to a quality group by using the Item quality groups form.
