This topic applies to features in the Inventory management module. It does not apply to features in the Transportation management module.
Click Inventory management > Setup > Shipping carrier > Carrier IDs.
Use this form to set up a carrier ID for each type of delivery method for the shipping carriers that you use. This is the identifier that is used internally by the shipping carrier software to identify a mode of delivery. The carrier IDs are assigned to Microsoft Dynamics AX modes of delivery for customers.

Carrier ID |
Enter a carrier ID that identifies the type of service from the carrier, such as U11A. |
Carrier service description |
Enter a description of the carrier service, such as UPS Ground. |
Carrier company |
Select a carrier company name. To create a carrier company name, use the Carrier company form. |
Carrier interface ID |
Select a carrier interface ID that identifies the type of shipping carrier software that you use in your organization. |
