Name sequences (form)

Click Organization administration > Setup > Global address book > Name sequences.

Use this form to create name sequence patterns. You can select from these patterns when entering a person’s party record information.

Navigating the form

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Button	Description
Translation	Open the Translation form, where you can select a language in which to view the selected name sequence.

Field	Description
Name sequence	View, create, or modify a name sequence pattern.
First position	Select whether the name in the first position in the sequence should be displayed or whether the first position should remain blank. For example, if the name sequence you have selected is Middle Last First, you can decide whether the first position displays the middle name or remains blank.
Separator	Enter the separator type that you want to appear between each name in the sequence. For example, a comma or a period.
Second position	Select whether the name in the second position in the name sequence should be displayed or whether the second position should remain blank.
Last position	Select whether the name in the last position in the name sequence should be displayed or whether the last position should remain blank.
Preview	View how the name sequence is displayed.
