Workflows (list page)

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Click [Module name] > Setup > [Module name] workflows.

This list page is a starting point for managing the workflows in a specific module. From this page, you can create, modify, or delete a workflow. You can also associate a workflow with a specific legal entity or organization.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this list page.

Buttons

Description

New

Create a new workflow for the module.

Edit

Modify the selected workflow.

Delete

Delete the selected workflow.

Set as default

Make the selected workflow the default workflow for that workflow type.

For example, you may have the following workflows for purchase requisitions:

  • Purchase Requisitions Denmark – This workflow is used when country/region = DK.

  • Purchase Requisitions Spain – This workflow is used when country/region = ES.

If you have multiple workflows of the same type, you must specify which workflow is the default workflow. The default workflow processes documents that do not meet the specified conditions.

Associate

Associate the selected workflow with a specific organization.

Workflow

View the selected workflow in read-only mode.

Versions

View the version history of the selected workflow.

Import

Import a workflow from a file.

Refresh

Update the contents of this list page.

Export to Microsoft Excel

Export the list of workflows to a Microsoft Excel worksheet.

Attachments

Attach a file to this list page.

Status

An "X" indicates that the workflow has configuration errors.

Default

The workflow is the default workflow for that workflow type.

Workflow ID

The identification number of the workflow.

Name

The name of the workflow.

Association

The organization that the workflow is associated with.

Type

The type of workflow that the workflow is based on.

Instances

The number of instances of the workflow that are running.

Active version

The version number of the workflow that is active.
