Recalculate ledger periods (form)

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Click General ledger > Setup > Ledger. Click Recalculate ledger periods.

Use this form to validate the ledger period in the general journal. If the ledger period has been modified for the ledger, the reference to the ledger period will be updated in the general journal. A message will be displayed and you will need to update the closing transactions using the Close form.

When you recalculate a ledger period, you must complete these steps, in the following order:

  1. Create a new fiscal calendar in the Fiscal calendars form. (Click General ledger > Setup > Fiscal calendars.)

  2. Select the new fiscal calendar in the Ledger form. (Click General ledger > Setup > Ledger.)

  3. Recalculate the ledger periods in the Ledger form.

  4. Delete the old fiscal calendar in the Fiscal calendars form.

Select the batch group that the task is included in.

Select this check box to restrict access to the batch to the user who created the task.
