Process templates (form)

Click Organization administration > Setup > Activities > Process templates.

Use this form to define processes and activities in Microsoft Dynamics AX.

Define processes and stages for projects

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Open a menu that contains the following items:

  • Copy from – Replace the hierarchy of the selected template with the hierarchy of another template.

  • Save as template – Use an existing template as the basis for a new template. You can modify the new template to meet the needs of a new process.

Inquiry

Open a list page for the type of process that is selected.

Actions

Create actions, such as levels, activities, tasks, and events.

Name

View or enter the name of the process.

Description

View or enter a brief description of the process.

Active

Select this check box to activate the template.

Type

The type of hierarchy process.

Activity number

The identification number of the activity.

Purpose

Enter the purpose of the activity.

Calculated start date

Enter the number of days from the current date to the date that the activity should start.

Calculated end date

Enter the number of days from the current date to the date that the activity should end.

Start time

Enter the start time of the activity.

End time

Enter the end time of the activity.

Responsibility

Select the user role that is responsible for the activity.

Responsible

Select the worker who is responsible for the activity.

Responsibilities

Select the responsibilities group for the selected process.

Description

A brief description of the responsibility group.

Check for required activities

Select this check box to indicate that a check for activities is required before the process can be completed.
