Click Procurement and sourcing > Common > Requests for quotations > All requests for quotations.

Use this list page to create, view, and manage requests for quotations (RFQ). You can filter and sort the list by buyer group, vendor account, or any column in the list.

Create a request for quotation from a purchase requisition

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Buttons

Edit

Open the Request for quotation details (form) for the RFQ that you select in the list. You can add and modify the information for the RFQ.

Copy from

Open the Copy from all (form), where you can copy information from an RFQ, a purchase order, a purchase agreement, a purchase receipt, or an invoice to a new RFQ.

Send

Open the Sending request for quotation (form), where you can select the e-mail template and other details for sending the RFQ to vendors.

Enter reply

Open the Request for quotation reply (form), where you can enter the reply from a vendor to the selected RFQ.

Configure request for quotation reply

Select the type of information that you want to receive from vendors when they reply to an RFQ.

Compare replies

Open the Compare request for quotation replies (form), where you can compare replies from vendors to an RFQ.

Totals

Open the Request for quotation totals (form), where you can view the total for lines in the selected RFQ, such as the total quantity of products.

Manage charges

Open the Charges transactions (form), where you can add charges, such as freight, to an RFQ.

Request for quotation journals

Open the Request for quotation journal (form), where you can view the postings for an RFQ.

Planned purchase orders

Open the Planned purchase orders list page, where you can view the purchase orders, if any, that are associated with the selected RFQ.

Fields

Field

Description

Case ID

The identification number of the RFQ. This number is generated automatically.

Purchase type

The purchase type that the RFQ was created for. Purchase types include:

  • Purchase requisition

  • Purchase order

  • Purchase agreement

Requester

The name of the person requesting the products in the RFQ.

Lowest status

The lowest status for lines in an RFQ or for the RFQ as a whole. Statuses are tracked throughout the RFQ process. For more information, see About request for quotation statuses.

Highest status

The highest status for lines in an RFQ or for the RFQ as a whole.

Vendor count

Indicates whether the RFQ case was sent to more than one vendor.

Expiration date

The last date on which vendors can submit replies to the RFQ.

Documents

Indicates whether a document file is attached to the RFQ. Click to open the Document handling form, where you can view and manage the attachment.
