Variance (form)

Click Production control > Common > Production orders > All production orders. Select an existing production order for a formula that contains a co-product. On the Action Pane, on the View tab, in the Related information group, click Price calculation. On the Price calculation form, click Co-products. On the Calculation form, click Variance.
Use this form to show standard cost price variances for co-products.
Note
This form can only be opened if the selected co-product is set up for standard cost and the batch order has the status Ended.

Level |
Select the level that you want to use to display the information.

Quantity |
View the total good quantity reported as finished for the production order. |
Total variance |
View the total variance for the production order. |
Cost group |
View the cost group that is associated with the line. |
Lot size variance |
View the variance that is related to the difference between the standard cost calculation quantity and the production order quantity. The variance reflects the differences in the amortization of constant costs. |
Price variance |
View the variance that is related to the difference between the costs that were used for standard cost calculations and the costs that were used for actual consumption transactions. |
Quantity variance |
View the variance that is related to the difference between the quantities for components and operations that were used for standard cost calculations and the quantities that were used for actual consumption transactions. |
Substitution variance |
View the variance that is related to the difference between the components and operations that were used for standard cost calculations and the components and operations that were used for actual consumption transactions. For example, the substitution variance can reflect actual consumption of a component that was not in the bill of materials (BOM) for the standard cost calculation. |
