Formula copying (form)

Click Inventory and warehouse management > Common > Formula and select the formula line. Then click Functions and select Copy.

Use this form to select a formula version in base data or formula lines in production, and then copy the information. You can define where you want to place the copied information. You can also define whether you want the information to be added to the new location or to replace existing lines in the new location.

Note

The following conditions exist when you use multiple sites:

  • When you copy an existing formula version to a different site, the warehouse on the formula lines is cleared. However, if the site that you copy from and the site that you copy to are the same, the warehouse is not cleared.

  • When you copy an existing route to a different site, the operations resource on the route lines is cleared, and the default operations resources for the route relations are also cleared.

Copy a formula

Copy from

The section of the form where you define the Copy from criteria.

Formula version

Select Formula version. In the grid, select the formula to copy from. The formula displays detailed information such as the item number, from quantity, from and to effective dates, and the activation and approval status.

Batch order

Select to include a batch order with the new formula.

Batch order number

Select the batch order that the formula or route is copied from.

Copy to

The section of the form where you specify the Copy to settings.

Base data

Select Base data. In the grid, select the formula to copy to. The formula displays detailed information such as the item number, from quantity, from and to effective dates, and the activation and approval status.

Site

If you are using multisite, select the site that is associated with the formula.

Exists

Select to add or replace the formula lines in an existing formula version.

Batch order

Select this option to copy the formula or the route to the production.

Batch order number

Select the batch order number to copy the formula or the route to.

Update formula number

Select to update the formula number on the production.

Setup

In this field group, you can select whether to add or replace lines on the formula or route.

Replace

Select this option to replace the lines on the formula or the route to which you are copying.

Add

Select this option to add the lines to the formula or the route to which you are copying.
