Create new contact (form)
Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012
Click Sales and marketing > Common > Contacts > All contacts. On the Action Pane, on the Contact tab, in the New group, click Contact.
Use this form to create a new contact record.

Save and close |
Save the record information that you entered and close the form. |
Save and open |
Save the record information that you entered and open the Contacts form to add more information about the contact. |
Fields

Contact ID |
The unique identifier that is assigned to the contact record. |
Contact for |
Select the party that this contact is the contact for. |
Job title |
Select the job title of the contact. |
Function |
Select the job function of the contact. For example, project management or sales. |
Profession |
Enter the profession of the contact. For example, computer hardware manufacturing or education. |
Department |
Enter the department that the contact works in. For example, marketing. |
