Create scheduled kanbans (form)

Click Production control > Setup > Lean manufacturing > Kanban rules. Select a rule that uses the replenishment strategy Scheduled. On the Kanbans FastTab, click Add.

Click Production control > Common > Lean manufacturing > Kanban schedule board. Select a job that references the kanban type Scheduled. On the Plan tab, in the Kanban quantity overview group, click Create kanban.
Use this form to create kanbans for a kanban rule that uses the replenishment strategy Scheduled. The form displays the current number of active kanbans.
When you create kanbans, they are displayed on the Kanbans FastTab of the Kanban rules form. A job is created for each activity of the kanban flow, and the created jobs are displayed in the kanban boards. The jobs are ready for additional processing.

Kanban rule |
The kanban rule for which scheduled kanbans are created. |
Active kanbans |
For the current kanban rule, the number of active kanbans that are in circulation. Active kanbans have a handling unit status that is not Empty. |
Number of new kanbans |
Enter the number of kanbans to create for the kanban rule. |
Minimum quantity |
The minimum product quantity that is defined for the current rule. |
Maximum quantity |
The maximum product quantity that is defined for the current rule. |
Product quantity |
Enter the product quantity per handling unit that you want to use for each kanban. By default, this field contains the quantity that is defined on the current rule, but you can modify it. The quantity that you enter must be in the range defined by the Minimum quantity and Maximum quantity fields. |
Due date/time |
Select the date and time to use as the due date for the kanbans that are created. |
Item number |
Select the identifier of the product. |
BOM |
Select the BOM (bill of material) that you want to create kanbans for. The BOM must be approved. The BOM version must be valid for the selected product on the due date that is entered in the Due date/time field. If this field is blank, the current active BOM is used. |
Print new kanbans |
Select the check box to print the kanban cards for the new kanbans when they are created. This is usually applicable when you use single-use cards. By default, this check box is selected if the kanban rule is configured to use a printing policy that prints kanban cards when kanbans are created. |
