Mix and match discounts (form)

Click Retail > Common > Pricing and discounts > Mix and match discounts.

Use this form to create and modify mix-and-match discounts. A mix-and-match discount gives customers a discount when they purchase a specific combination of products.

Copy from

Create a new discount that is similar to an existing one. When you copy an existing discount, the settings and products from the existing discount are also copied to the new one. You can modify the information for the new discount.

Price groups

Select the price group that the discount applies to.

This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 is installed.

Mix and match line groups

Select among predefined line groups. Then, in the Number of products needed field, type the quantity of the product that the customer must purchase to qualify for the discount.

Add

Add a single category, product, or variant to the discount.

Add products

Add multiple products or variants to the discount.

Remove

Remove the selected product from the discount.

Image

Add an image to the mix-and-match discount or mix-and-match discount line.

This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.

Add all variants

Automatically add a line for each variant that is available for the selected product

Explode product

Display the variants for a master product.

Note

This control is not available if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.

Fields

Description

Discount

Enter the ID number of the discount. If number sequences are set up, the discount ID is set automatically.

Name

Type the name of the discount.

Status

Select the status of the discount, either Enabled or Disabled. Discounts can be modified only if they are disabled.

Currency

Select a currency for the discount.

Discount concurrency mode

The method that is used to combine the discount with other discounts that apply to the same product. For mix-and-match discounts, Exclusive is the only available option.

Price group

Select the price group for the stores that the discount applies to.

This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.

Discount code

Enter a discount code that can be used to apply the discount offer. The discount code can be used for promotions in Sites Services.

In Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, discount codes can also be used in retail stores and online stores.

Bar code

The barcode that is generated for the discount code. The barcode uses the barcode mask that is selected in the Bar code setup field in the Retail shared parameters form.

The barcode is used by the Point of sale (POS) system.

Discount code required

Select this check box to indicate that the discount code must be entered to apply the discount. The discount code can be used for promotions in Sites Services.

In Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, discount codes can also be used in retail stores and online stores.

Description

Type a description of the discount.

Disclaimer

Type any disclaimer that is required. This disclaimer is used when the discount is published through Sites Services.

Deal price

Select this option if you want the discount to specify the total price of the products. Then, in the Deal price value field, type the specific price of the discounted total. The Deal price value field is used for both tax-inclusive and tax-exclusive configurations. Depending on store settings, the price either includes or excludes tax.

Discount %

Select this option if you want the discount to subtract a percentage from the total price of the products. Then, in the Discount % value field, type the percentage of the discount. For example, the usual price of product A is 40.00, and the usual price of product B is 60.00. A mix-and-match discount of 30 percent applies to these products. Therefore, if a customer buys product A and product B together, the cost is 70.00 instead of 100.00.

Discount amount

Select this option if you want the discount to subtract a specific amount from the price of each product. Then, in the Discount amount value field, type the specific amount of the discount.

Least expensive

Select this option to specify which product or products are free. Then, in the Number of least expensive lines field, type the number of products that are free.

Line spec

Select this option to specify a discount for each product. Then, on the Lines tab, specify the discount or price per product.

Number of times applicable

Type the number of times that the discount can be applied to the products.

Note

This control is not available if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.

Deal price value

See the description of the Deal price field.

Discount % value

Enter the percentage of the discount that is applied to the total product price when the Discount % discount type is selected.

Discount amount value

Enter the amount of the discount when the Discount amount discount type is selected.

Number of least expensive lines

Enter the number of products that are free when the Least expensive discount type is selected.

Standard

Select this option to specify an effective date and an expiration date for the discount.

Advanced

Select this option to use a predefined discount period for the discount.

Effective date

Select the date that the discount becomes effective.

Expiration date

Select the date that the discount expires.

Discount period number

Select a discount period in which the discount is valid.

Description

The description of the discount period.

Start date

The start date of the discount period.

End date

The end date of the discount period.

Category

The category of the product.

Product

The item number of the product.

Product variant

The ID number of the variant.

Name

The name of the product.

Unit

The unit of measure for the product.

Number of products needed

The number of products that the customer needs to buy in this line group before the discount applies.

Line group

Select a line group. The line group identifies the group and number of products that qualify for the discount.

Description

Type a description of the selected product.
