POS position permissions (form)

Click Retail > Common > Workers. On the Workers list page, select a worker. Then, on the Action Pane, on the Retail tab, in the Set up group, click POS permissions.
Use this form to select a position for the worker, and then select a permission group and individual permissions, if the worker requires individual permissions. These permissions are linked to operations that can be performed at the point of sale in Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail POS.

Select this check box to customize a permission group by selecting individual permissions. |

Manager privileges |
Select this check box to grant managerial privileges to the employee who is assigned to the permission group. |
Allow blind close |
Select this check box to allow the employee who is assigned to the permission group to perform a blind close. |
Allow X-report printing |
Select this check box to allow the employee who is assigned to the permission group to print X reports. |
Allow Z-report printing |
Select this check box to allow the employee who is assigned to the permission group to print Z reports. |
Allow tender declaration |
Select this check box to allow the employee who is assigned to the permission group to perform tender declarations. |
Allow floating declaration |
Select this check box to allow the employee who is assigned to the permission group to perform floating declarations. |
Allow transaction suspension |
Select this check box to allow the employee who is assigned to the permission group to suspend transactions. |
Allow transaction voiding |
Select this check box to allow the employee who is assigned to the permission group to void transactions. |
Allow change, no void |
Select this check box to allow the employee who is assigned to the permission group to change transactions but not void them. |
Open drawer without sale |
Select this check box to allow the employee who is assigned to the permission group to open the cash drawer without performing a sales transaction. |
Maximum line discount amount |
Type the maximum discount amount that the employee who is assigned to the permission group can apply to individual line items. |
Maximum discount percentage |
Type the maximum discount percentage that the employee who is assigned to the permission group can apply to individual line items. |
Maximum total discount amount |
Type the maximum discount amount that the employee who is assigned to the permission group can apply to transaction totals. |
Maximum discount total percentage |
Type the maximum discount percentage that the employee who is assigned to the permission group can apply to transaction totals. |
Maximum line return amount |
Of the amount for individual line items, type the maximum amount that the employee who is assigned to the permission group can accept for return. |
Maximum total return amount |
Of the total amount for a transaction, type the maximum amount that the employee who is assigned to the permission group can accept for return. |
View time clock entries |
Select this check box to allow the employee who is assigned to the permission group to view the time clock entries of the store’s employees. Note This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed. |
Allow price override |
Select the type of price override that the employee who is assigned to the permission group can perform.

Allow multiple logons |
Select this check box to allow the employee who is assigned to the permission group to log on to multiple registers. |
Allow multiple shift logon |
Select this check box to allow the employee who is assigned to the permission group to log on to multiple shifts. |
Allow sales tax change |
Select this check box to allow the employee who is assigned to the permission group to change the sales tax that is applied to transactions. |
Allow create order |
Select this check box to allow the employee who is assigned to the permission group to create quotations and sales orders. |
Allow edit order |
Select this check box to allow the employee who is assigned to the permission group to modify quotations and sales orders. |
Allow retrieve order |
Select this check box to allow the employee who is assigned to the permission group to retrieve quotations and sales orders. |
Store inventory user |
Select this check box to allow the employee who is assigned to the permission group to perform stock counts, and receive and pick inventory. |
Allow password change |
Select this check box to allow the employee who is assigned to the permission group to change his or her password. This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 or cumulative update 7 or later for AX 2012 R2 is installed. |
Allow change peripheral station |
Select this check box to allow the employee who is assigned to the permission group to change hardware stations. This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 is installed. |
Allow reset password |
Select this check box to allow the employee who is assigned to the permission group to reset the passwords for other employees. This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 or cumulative update 7 or later for AX 2012 R2 is installed. |
Allow kit disassembly |
Select this check box to allow the employee who is assigned to the permission group to disassemble a product kit at the register to sell the individual components. This permission applies only if the kit is set up to allow disassembly at the register. For more information about how to create a product kit, see Create retail product kits. This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 is installed. |
Manage device |
Select this check box to allow the employee who is assigned to the permission group to manage devices, such as tablets and smartphones, that are used as POS registers in the store. This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 is installed. |
