Text translation (form)

Click Product information management > Common > Products > Products. On the Action Pane, click Translations.

Click General ledger > Common > Main accounts. Select a main account. On the Action Pane, click Edit. Click Translations.

Click General ledger > Setup > Chart of accounts > Main account templates. Select a main account template. On the Action Pane, click Translations.

Click General ledger > Setup > Financial dimensions > Financial dimensions. Select a financial dimension and click Financial dimension values. Click Translations.
Use this form to enter translated text for the name and description of a product or a released product. The translations that you create are displayed on documents for customers or vendors where a language code is applied, such as packing slips and invoices. Also, when the system language for the user corresponds to the translations, the translations are displayed in procurement catalogues in Enterprise Portal for Microsoft Dynamics AX.
You also can use this form to create translated text for a main account name and a custom financial dimension value. The translations that you create are displayed everywhere that a main account name or custom financial dimension value is displayed, except on the main account list and list pages.
Tip
To view the language code of a customer:

Click Sales and marketing > Common > Customers > All customers. Select a customer, and then on the Customer tab, in the Maintain group, click Edit.

In the Customers form, on the General FastTab, in the Language field, view the language code.

Product number |
The product’s product number. A translation cannot be created for the product number. However, you can always change the product number. For more information, see Modify product numbers. |

The custom financial dimension value in the original language. |
Main account |
The main account number in the original language. |

Depending on which form you used to open this form, the product name, product description, financial dimension description, financial dimension value, or main account name, in the original language. |
