Process events (form)

Click Human resources > Periodic > Compensation > Process events.

Use this form to set up work streams for recommendations. You can then bundle the work streams and run them at the same time for a selected period. You can use employee compensation data and compensation plans that are selected for that period.

An example of a simple process event is a merit increase for one employee that is based on an anniversary. An example of a complex process event is an enterprise-wide, annual, combined compensation process that includes merit increases, equity adjustments, annual bonus payments, and long-term incentive awards.

Enter a unique identifier for the process event.

Description

Enter a description of the process event.

Effective date

Enter an effective date for the process event.

Expiration date

Enter an expiration date for the process event.

Process type

The type of process event.

Enable from menu

This field is no longer used.

Start date

Enter the starting date of the cycle period.

The starting date and ending date define the period when the calculations for the process event occur.

End date

Enter the ending date for the cycle period.

The starting date and ending date define the period when the calculations for the process event occur.

Transaction active date

Enter the date to apply to transactions that are generated by the process event. This date is the new active date for fixed compensation plans and the award date for variable plans.

Point-in-time date

Enter the date to use when variable awards are calculated for a specific point in time. The calculation of variable awards is based on the fixed compensation that is available for employees on this date.

Fixed pay pro rated hire date

Enter the date from which to calculate the prorated amount of fixed pay for employees who are hired during the cycle period. Employees who are hired before this date receive the full merit increase.

Note

This field applies only to compensation plans that have a hire rule of Percent.

Transaction time

Enter the date when all recommendations must be submitted so that the process event can be run.
