(IND) Fixed asset value model/shift depreciation (form)

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2

Click Fixed assets > Setup > Value models. Click the Shift depreciation button.

Use this form to define the rates that are used to calculate shift depreciation for the Straight line service life method or Reducing balance method of depreciation. Define the type of shift and industry that are used for a value model.

The following table provides descriptions for the controls in this form.

Open the Value model/ shift depreciation form, where you can set up shift depreciation, define effective dates, the shift type, and the industry type.

Enter the value model that is used to define the shift depreciation.

From date

Enter the date to start applying the shift depreciation rates.

To date

Enter the ending date for the shift depreciation rates.

Type of shift

Select the type of shift for the value model from the following options:

  • None – Shift depreciation does not apply for the value model.

  • Single shift – Apply single shift depreciation for the value model.

  • Double shift – Apply double shift depreciation for the value model.

  • Triple shift – Apply triple shift depreciation for the value model.

Type of industry

Select the type of industry to apply a specific type of shift depreciation for from the following options:

  • Non seasonal industry

  • Seasonal industry
