Compensation principle (form)

Click Product information management > Common > Released products. On the Engineer tab, in the Formula action group, click Lines. In the Formula line form, click Ingredients, and then click Compensation principle.
Use this form to select a product ingredient for which you want to define a compensation principle. You set the compensation calculation either to increase or to decrease the estimated consumption of the specified raw material based on a batch attribute that is set for the selected active ingredient.

Active ingredient |
Select a formula ingredient that has the Ingredient type value selected as active. |
Base attribute |
Select the batch attribute that identifies the active ingredient as a potency item. Note By default, this attribute is displayed for the active ingredient and is not available when the Fixed attribute value is selected. |
Base value |
The target or standard potency value for the active ingredient. Note By default, this value is available as the Target value defined for the active ingredient and is not available when the Fixed attribute value is selected. |
Factor |
Enter the factor that determines how the quantity of the compensating ingredient changes if there are deviations to the target or standard potency item during batch balancing. Note You can enter this value when inventory batches are assigned for the batch order and when the actual potency of those batches is identified. |
