Click General ledger > Setup > Profit tax > Rates.

Use this form to create rates for calculation sequences.

Task that uses this form

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Tab	Description
Values	Add rate values for the Whole amount calculation method.
Intervals	Add rate values for the Interval calculation method. Note This FastTab is available only when you select Interval in the Calculation method field.

Field	Description
Rate code	Enter the identification number for the rate.
Description	Enter a description for the rate.
Calculation method	Select a rate calculation method from the following options: Whole amount – The value is calculated for the whole amount. The line value does not depend on the amount. Interval – The value is calculated for intervals. The line value is defined based on the amount.
Start date	Enter the date when the value goes into effect.
Value	Enter the rate value.
Criterion type	Select Minimum or Maximum as the type of criterion for calculating the rate.
For amount	Enter the amount that the rate is applied to. Note This field is available only if you select Interval in the Calculation method field.
Value	Enter the rate value. Note This field is available only if you select Interval in the Calculation method field.
