Virtualized workloads in System Center - Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) need storage resources that meet capacity and performance requirements. VMM recognizes local and remote storage. It supports storage on block-level storage devices that expose logical unit numbers (LUNs) using fiber channel, iSCSCI, SAS connections, and network file shares.
This article provides a list of supported storage devices for VMM 2016, 1801, and 1807.

Known issue: Deletion of thinly provisioned storage volume (LUN) fails for HPE Primera through VMM 2019.
Workaround: Delete LUN directly from the array.
