Viewing and Managing Notification Logs

Open the Notification logs by clicking Notification Logs, located in the Navigation Area under Logs. From the Notification Logs pane you can retrieve, view, and filter your Notification Log data.

To retrieve your notifications

  1. Click Notification Logs, located in the Navigation Area under Logs, to open the Notifications work pane.

  2. Click Retrieve Notifications.

The Notification View will update to include newly discovered notifications. Notifications are listed in the Notification View pane. The following information is reported for each notification item.

Host Name

The name of the server that the notification comes from.

Time

The time the notification was created.

Job Name

The name of the job that the notification comes from.

Message

The details of the notification.

There is also a column that displays a green check mark to indicate that the notification refers to a successful event, or a red X to indicate the notification refers to a failure.

To navigate through multiple pages of notifications, use the < and **>**buttons.

You can limit the items displayed to specific job types, job names, and host servers. To filter the notification items click the Filter View drop-down icon to expand the filtering options. You can filter the notifications by job type, job name, or host name. Select one or more criteria to filter by and click Apply. Only the filtered items will appear in the Notification View. Filtering only eliminates items from the data display; it does not delete any data. To see all the items again, click Clear. This removes the filtering options and displays all of the notification data. To hide the filtering options click the Filter View drop-down icon again.

To clear the all of the Notification log items in the selected job type, click Purge. The Delete Notifications work pane appears. Click Confirm to delete the notifications.
