Configuring a Package

 

Once you have created a package in Microsoft Forefront Protection Server Management Console (FPSMC) you can copy, rename, edit, and delete it.

To copy a package

  1. Click Packages, located in the Navigation Area under Job Management, to open the Packages work pane.

  2. In the Packages pane, select the package you wish to copy.

  3. Click Copy Package. A new package is added to the list with the name Copy of Package Name.

To rename a package

  1. Click Packages, located in the Navigation Area under Job Management, to open the Packages work pane.

  2. In the Packages pane, select the package you wish to rename.

  3. Click Rename Package to open the Rename Package pane.

  4. Enter a new name for the package and click Save. You are returned to the Packages work pane and the package appears in the list with its new name.

To edit a package

  1. Click Packages, located in the Navigation Area under Job Management, to open the Packages work pane.

  2. In the Packages pane, select the package you wish to edit.

  3. Click Edit Package to open the Policy Specification pane.

  4. Make the desired changes and click OK to return to the Packages work pane.

To delete a package

  1. Click Packages, located in the Navigation Area under Job Management, to open the Packages work pane.

  2. In the Packages pane, select the package you wish to delete.

  3. Click Delete Package. The Delete Package pane appears.

  4. Click Confirm to verify your request. You are returned to the Packages work pane and the package no longer appears on this list.
