A ConnectionManager propriedade contém ou define uma referência à instância real do IDTSConnectionManager100 objeto contido no pacote. Em runtime, essa referência é definida automaticamente pelo mecanismo de runtime do SSIS usando a ConnectionManagerID propriedade para localizar a conexão no pacote e atribuir uma referência.

Em tempo de design, o Designer do SSIS faz essa atribuição ao carregar e inicializar um componente. No entanto, ao carregar e editar programaticamente um componente, usando o modelo de objeto fora do designer, a propriedade deve ser definida explicitamente. Os componentes não têm a capacidade de referenciar explicitamente a conexão usando a ConnectionManagerID propriedade porque a Connections coleção do pacote não é exposta a componentes.
