View information about a device driver

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

To view information about a device driver

  1. Open Device Manager to view information about a device driver.

  2. Double-click the type of device you want to view.

  3. Right-click the specific device you want, and then click Properties.

  4. On the Driver tab, click Driver Details.

Notes

  • To open Device Manager, click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, double-click Computer Management, and then click Device Manager.

  • This information can also help you determine the file version of the device driver.

  • An icon appears next to device drivers that are digitally signed. For more information on digitally signed drivers, see "Driver Signing for Windows" in Related Topics.
