Accessibility Features of Identity Management for UNIX

Applies To: Windows Server 2003 R2

Products in the Windows Server 2003 family include a number of accessibility features that can improve display, sound, mouse, and keyboard settings for users who are blind, have motion disabilities, or are deaf or hard of hearing. Many accessibility features are also useful to people without disabilities.

Accessibility Features and Options

Because Identity Management for UNIX tasks can be completed using either a Windows-based interface or shell commands, accessibility options are available for both computing environments.

Accessibility Features and Options for Windows-based Tools in Identity Management for UNIX

For more information about accessibility features and options, see Accessibility for People with Disabilities on the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 TechCenter.

Because the Windows-based management tool for Identity Management for UNIX is a Microsoft Management Console (MMC) 3.0 snap-in, Identity Management for UNIX shares applicable MMC 3.0 accessibility features. For more information about accessibility in MMC, see Accessibility for MMC.

Accessibility Features and Options for the Command-line Environment

For information about keyboard shortcuts that can provide greater accessibility to users of command-line and UNIX-based shell computing environments, refer to the Help and release notes provided with the Utilities and Software Development Kit (SDK) for UNIX-based Applications installation package, available for download from the Microsoft Web site.
