Add Files or Folders to a Distribution Share

After a distribution share folder is created, you can add files to the folders: $OEM$ Folders or Out-of-Box Drivers. You cannot add packages directly to the Packages folder.

Note

Language Packs and Packages must be added by using the Package(s) command on the Insert menu. For more information, see Add Packages to a Distribution Share.

To add files and folders

  1. Open a distribution share. For more information, see Open a Distribution Share.

  2. Right-click to select Explore Distribution Share. For more information, see Explore Distribution Shares.

  3. Double-click either the $OEM$ Folders folder or Out-of-Box Drivers folder.

    The folder opens.

  4. Drag or copy and paste files to the folder.

  5. Close the distribution share folder.

    The files appear in the Distribution Share pane.

To add folders to a distribution share

  1. Open a distribution share. For more information, see Open a Distribution Share.

  2. Right-click to select Explore Distribution Share. For more information, see Explore Distribution Shares.

  3. Double-click either the $OEM$ Folders folder or Out-of-Box Drivers folder.

    The folder opens.

  4. Right-click the folder, point to New, and then click Folder.

  5. Type a name for the folder.

  6. Close the distribution share folder.

    The folder appears in the Distribution Share pane.
