Save a report to Authored Reports

Authored (or “published”) reports are based on existing reports from the Generic Report Library. You can configure an authored report with prepopulated parameters and then make it available to other users.

To save a report to Authored Reports

  1. In the Operations console, click Reporting.

  2. In the Reporting view, expand Reporting, and then click Microsoft Generic Report Library.

  3. In the results pane, double-click the report you want to publish, such as the Availability report.

  4. In the report window, specify the report parameters.

  5. Click Run to generate the report.

  6. Click File, and then click Publish.

  7. In the Publish to Authored Reports dialog box, type a name for the report, and then click OK.

  8. Close all report windows.

The report is now available in the Authored Reports folder of the Reporting view. You can double-click the report name to generate the report.
