Use the FTP Directory Browsing feature page to modify the content settings for browsing a directory on the FTP server. When you configure directory browsing, all directories use the same settings.

The following tables describe the UI elements that are available on the feature page and in the Actions pane.

Feature Page Elements

Description

Directory Listing Style

Specifies the format to use when listing the contents of a directory. The options are as follows:

  • MS-DOS - Displays files and folder using the MS-DOS format.

  • UNIX - Displays files and folder using the UNIX format.

Virtual directories

Specifies whether to display virtual directories when listing the contents of a directory. If enabled, displays virtual directories; otherwise, virtual directories are hidden.

Available bytes

Specifies whether to display the available bytes when listing the contents of a directory.

Note

The available bytes listed reflects the size left on disk, or, if a disk-level or folder-level quota is enabled, the available bytes remaining.

Four-digit years

Specifies the year format to use when displaying the last modified date for each file. If enabled, displays dates with four-digit years; otherwise, displays dates with two-digit years.

Cancels changes to the FTP Directory Browsing feature page.

Note

In addition to configuring the settings for directory browsing on an FTP server, you can use the FTP Messages feature to customize the messages that are displayed when users access your FTP server.
