Aplica-se a: System Center Configuration Manager 2007, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP1, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2

When you choose to remove a package from a branch distribution point, Configuration Manager 2007 removes all package data in the same manner as with a standard distribution point. You can remove a package from a single distribution point to which it has been distributed or from any number of such distribution points. If an advertised program no longer has any distribution points available, Configuration Manager 2007 removes the advertisement from clients.

To remove a package from a branch distribution point, you must have Distribute permission for the Package Security object type or for the specific package instance. For more information about security permissions, see Classes and Instances for Object Security in Configuration Manager.

noteNota
As with standard distribution points, you cannot delete a package from a branch distribution point if a user has locked an associated network file.

To remove a package from a distribution point

  1. In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System CenterConfiguration Manager / Site Database / Computer Management / Software Distribution / Package / <package name>.

  2. Right-click Distribution Points, and click Manage Distribution Points.

  3. Use the Manage Distribution Points Wizard to remove the package from one or more branch distribution points.

For additional information about this wizard, see Manage Distribution Points Wizard.

    noteNota
You can also remove package data from a single branch distribution point by navigating to System CenterConfiguration Manager / Site Database / Computer Management / Software Distribution / Package / <package name> / Distribution Point, right-clicking the specific branch distribution point from which you want to remove the package data, and then clicking Delete.
