ConfigMgr PXE Service Point Properties: General Tab

Aplica-se a: System Center Configuration Manager 2007, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP1, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2

The PXE service point hosts boot images and responds to incoming PXE requests from Configuration Manager 2007 clients.

You can use this tab to specify whether this PXE service point should respond to PXE requests on all installed network interfaces or on a specific network interface.

This page contains the following elements.

Allow this PXE Service Point to respond to incoming PXE requests
Enables the PXE service point to respond to computer requests. By not selecting or clearing this option, you can temporarily disable a PXE service point. This option is helpful if there are multiple PXE servers on the network or if you want to temporarily suspend responding to Configuration Manager 2007 PXE requests.

ImportantImportante
If you enable unknown computer support, any unknown computers that use PXE-initiated operating system deployments will attempt to run mandatory task sequences. Mandatory task sequences that include operations such as Apply Operating System Image or Format and Partition disk will destroy all data on those unknown systems.

Enable unknown system support
Aplicável apenas ao Configuration Manager 2007 R2 ou posterior.

Enables the PXE service point to respond to requests from unknown systems. If this option is not selected, only managed machines will be supported by this PXE service point.

Require a password for computers that boot to PXE
Specifies a password for computers that boot to this PXE service point. If you specify a password, a user must be present at the target computer to enter the password or the PXE initiated installation will fail.

Delay (seconds)
Specifies, in seconds, how long the delay should be for this PXE service point before it responds to computer requests when multiple PXE service points are used. By default, the Configuration Manager 2007 PXE service point will respond first to network PXE requests.
