Aplica-se a: System Center Configuration Manager 2007, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP1, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2

Use the Driver Details page in the Configuration Manager 2007 Import New Driver Wizard to specify a descriptive name and an optional description for an individual driver or select the files to be imported from the specified folder. You can also enable the device drivers on this page so that they are available to computers for installation and assign the drivers to one or more categories. The Driver Details page displays different settings depending on what setting is selected on the Locate Driver page of the wizard.

When the Import all drivers in the following network path (UNC) setting is selected on the Locate Driver page, the file name for all driver files located in the specified folder are displayed on this page, as well as an Import setting that specifies whether the file should be imported. Each driver file is selected by default, but a subset of the drivers in the folder can be imported by deselecting the unwanted driver files.

When the Import a specific driver by specifying the network path (UNC) to its .inf or txtsetup.oem file setting is selected on the Locate Drivers page, the name and description for the driver is displayed, as well as the provider, class, version number, version date, digital signer, and supported models information. The name and description fields can be modified.

This page contains elements described in the following table.

Name Description

Enable this driver and allow computers to install it

Specifies that this device driver will be made available to all computers. If this check box is not selected, the device driver will not be available for computers to install. Typically, you should enable drivers unless you are not ready to deploy them, or if the device driver is causing a problem and you want to suspend deployment.

ImportantImportante
For computers to use and install a driver, it must be enabled. To enable a driver that is currently set to disabled in the driver catalog, right-click the driver, click Properties, and then click Enable these drivers and allow computers to install them.

Categories

Allows you to assign the device drivers to categories. Categories are useful for filtering purposes by keeping specific device drivers together in a logical fashion for use in different deployment scenarios.
