New Site System Wizard: Active Software Update Point Settings Page

Aplica-se a: System Center Configuration Manager 2007, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP1, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2

Use the Active Software Update Point Settings page in the Configuration Manager 2007 New Site Role Wizard or New Site Server Wizard to enable and configure the active software update point for the site. Multiple site systems can be installed with the software update point site role, but only one or two software update points can be defined as active. The active software update point is installed on a computer running Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) and allows Configuration Manager to configure the WSUS server for what software updates will be synchronized and to initiate software updates metadata synchronization from the WSUS database to the site server database.

When there are Internet-based client computers, the active software update point can be configured to allow connectivity from both the intranet and Internet or an active Internet-based software update point can be installed on a remote site system to handle all communications from Internet-based client computers. When there is an active Internet-based software update point, the active software update point allows only connectivity from client computers on the intranet. The Internet-based software update point is configured on the Internet-based tab. For more information about creating an Internet-based software update point, see How to Create and Configure an Active Internet-Based Software Update Point.

This page contains the elements as described in the following table.
