The Advertisement Status home page in Configuration Manager 2007 displays a snapshot of all advertisements currently running on the Configuration Manager 2007 site.

For each advertisement in the list, the following information is shown by default:

  • Name: Displays the name of the advertisement.

  • Received: Displays the number of client computers that have received the advertisement.

  • Failures: Displays the number of client computers that have reported a failure to process the advertisement.

  • Programs Started: Displays the total number of times that client computers have started the advertised program. This total includes programs which may have started more than once on client computers; for example, those set to run on a recurring schedule.

  • Program Errors: Displays the total number of programs that have failed to run successfully on client computers.

  • Program Success: Displays the total number of programs that have run successfully on client computers.

  • Program Errors (MIF): If the advertised program generates status Management Information Format (MIF) files, then this column displays the total number of programs that have failed to run successfully by examining this MIF file.

  • Program Success (MIF): If the advertised program generates status Management Information Format (MIF) files, then this column displays the total number of programs that have run successfully by examining this MIF file.

  • Package: Displays the name of the package being advertised.

  • Program: Displays the name of the program being advertised.

  • Target Collection: Displays the name of the collection to which the advertisement is being targeted.

  • Available After: Displays the advertisement start time and date.

  • Expires After: Displays the advertisement expiration time and date if this has been specified.

  • Advertisement ID: Displays the internal Configuration Manager 2007 identification for the advertisement.

You can use View, Add/Remove columns to add further information to this list.

Actions for the Advertisement Status Home Page

The following actions are available on the advertisement status home page:

 

Action Description

Display Interval

Allows you to filter the displayed advertisements by date and time. The following values are available:

  • Since 12:00:00 AM

  • Since 6:00:00 AM

  • Since 12:00:00 PM

  • Since 6:00:00 PM

  • Since Sunday

  • Since Monday

  • Since Tuesday

  • Since Wednesday

  • Since Thursday

  • Since Friday

  • Since Saturday

  • Since the 1st of the Month

  • Since the 15th of the Month

  • Since Advertised

The default value is Since Advertised.

Give Feedback

Opens a Configuration Manager 2007 Web site where feedback can be given.

View

Provides the following view options:

  • Add/Remove columns: Specifies which columns display in the results pane. Select the column name from the Available columns list, and then click Add to add the column to the Displayed Columns list. Select the column name from the Displayed Columns list, and then click Remove to remove the column from the displayed columns. Click Restore Defaults to display the default columns. Click OK to save changes.

  • Export list: Exports the data in the results pane to a text or unicode text file that is tab or comma delimited.

  • Hide search bar: Specifies to hide the search bar located above the results pane.

  • Customize: Specifies which items are displayed in the Configuration Manager 2007 console.

New Window from Here

Opens a new console window using the current node as the root node.

Refresh

Refreshes the display with the most current information.

Help

Opens the associated help topic.

Selecting an advertisement from the list will cause the following additional actions to be displayed:

 

Action Description

Show Messages

Opens the ConfigMgr Status Message Viewer window, allowing you to view a more detailed status from the selected advertisement. You can filter the results to show only items with a status count in the following columns:

  • All

  • Received

  • Failures

  • Program started

  • Program errors

  • Program success

  • Program errors (MIF)

  • Program success (MIF)

Reset Counts

Allows you to reset the counts to zero for any of the following columns:

  • All

  • Received

  • Failures

  • Program started

  • Program errors

  • Program success

  • Program errors (MIF)

  • Program success (MIF)
