There are several circumstances in which you will need to configure an account before Configuration Manager can provision a computer for out of band management, or before Configuration Manager can discover whether the computer has a management controller that will support AMT provisioning. For more information, see Determine Whether to Configure an AMT Provisioning and Discovery Account for Out of Band Management.
