How to Create Custom Labels

Aplica-se a: System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP1, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2

Using the Custom Labels node located under the Customize Catalog Configuration Manager console node, administrators can create custom labels used to group software titles that share a common attribute. For example, a group of titles can be labeled as site-licensed software or shareware in addition to software category and software family grouping information.

noteNota
As informações neste tema aplicam-se apenas ao Configuration Manager 2007 SP1 ou posterior.

Use the following procedure to create Asset Intelligence catalog custom labels.

noteNota
Up to 100 custom labels can be created, but each software title can have only one to three custom labels associated with it and stored in the Asset Intelligence catalog.

To create a custom software category

  1. In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System CenterConfiguration Manager / Site Database (<site code> - <site name>) / Computer Management / Asset Intelligence / Customize Catalog / Custom Labels.

  2. Right-click Custom Labels, and click New Label to start the New Custom Label Wizard.

    noteNota
If the Configuration Manager console action pane is displayed, the New Software Category Wizard can also be started by clicking New Category in the action pane.

  3. On the General page of the New Custom Label Wizard, specify a name for the new custom label and, optionally, a description.

    noteNota
There is no validation state for custom labels because all custom labels are always user-defined.

  4. On the Summary page of the New Custom Label Wizard, review the new custom label information you have specified to ensure that it is correct before continuing. If changes need to be made, click Previous to return to the General page.
