GetSID Syntax

GetSID uses the following syntax:

Imagemgetsid*\\Server1Account\\Server2Account*

Parameters

  • \\Server1
    Specifies the name of the server on which the accounts are found. Enter a netbios or FQDN. Account is the account SID.
  • Account
    Specifies the name of a user or group account. Getsid will display the SID of this account. If the account name has a space in it, you must use quotation marks.
  • \\Server2
    Specifies the name of the server on which the accounts are found. Enter a netbios or FQDN.

Sample Usage

  • getsid \\reskitdc2 administrator \\reskitdc1 administrator
  • getsid \\reskitdc2 "domain admins" \\reskitdc1 "domain admins"
