How to Enable or Disable the Power Management Client Agent

Atualizada: Outubro de 2010

Aplica-se a: System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3

When you enable the power management client agent on Configuration Manager 2007 R3 client computers in your site, the power management client agent will send information about power capabilities and usage to the Configuration Manager site and you can apply power management plans configured in the Configuration Manager console to clients.

noteNota
As informações neste tema aplicam-se apenas ao Configuration Manager 2007 R3.

By default, the power management client agent is not enabled when you install Configuration Manager 2007 R3.

ImportantImportante
The power management feature in Configuration Manager 2007 R3 uses data from the hardware inventory on client computers. If you enable the power management client agent, the hardware inventory client agent is also enabled. If you disable the hardware inventory client agent, the power management client agent is also disabled.

If you disable the power management client agent, computers in your site stop sending information about power capabilities and usage to the Configuration Manager 2007 site, and you cannot apply power plans created in the Configuration Manager console.

ImportantImportante
If Configuration Manager 2007 R3 is uninstalled, or if client computers become unmanaged, any applied power plans are not removed from client computers.

The setting to enable or disable the power management client agent together with any assigned power plans is downloaded to client computers according to the Policy Polling Interval in the Computer Client Agent Properties dialog box. By default, the settings are downloaded every 60 minutes.

To enable the power management client agent

  1. In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / Site Management / <site code> – <site name> / Site Settings / Client Agents.

  2. Right-click Power Management Client Agent, and then click Properties.

  3. On the General tab of the Power Management Client Agent Properties dialog box, select the Enable power management on clients option.

  4. Click OK to close the Power Management Client Agent Properties dialog box.
