How to Examine Power Management Information from Client Computers

Atualizada: Outubro de 2010

Aplica-se a: System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3

Power management in Configuration Manager 2007 R3 provides a number of reports that let you examine power management information that client computers collect on your site. These reports can be used to help you plan your power management strategy, help you monitor power information that computers collect after you have applied a power plan, and troubleshoot any issues with the power management feature.

You can use the data from these reports to help you decide optimal power settings for computers in your organization. You can also use these reports to monitor the effects of applying a power plan to a collection of computers.

To use the reports, you must first configure them by using the procedure in How to Configure Reports for Power Management.

noteNota
If the membership of a collection changes after evaluating the existing power consumption, power cost, and environmental impact of the computers, the change might affect the comparison of results after you have applied a power plan to the collection. For example, if the number of computers in a collection increases after applying a power plan, the power consumption, cost, and environmental impact results might increase.

ImportantImportante
Power management in Configuration Manager 2007 R3 extends the data collected by hardware inventory for your site. To ensure the most accurate results, you should wait until all computers in your site have completed a hardware inventory cycle before you use any of the reports.

For information about how to run the power management reports, see How to Run Reports for Power Management. For information about the recommended workflow for using power management, see Administrator Checklist for Power Management.

As informações neste tema aplicam-se apenas ao Configuration Manager 2007 R3.

The following procedures provide information about how to use the reports supplied with Configuration Manager 2007 R3 power management.
