As Extensões SCAP para o Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager ajudam-no a analisar e a avaliar o seu ambiente de rede relativamente a compatibilidade com o SCAP (Security Content Automation Protocol). O SCAP é definido e mantido pelos E.U.A. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

As Extensões SCAP para o Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager utilizam a funcionalidade Definições de Compatibilidade no Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager para analisar os computadores no seu ambiente e, em seguida, documentar o nível de compatibilidade com o mandato do USGCB (United States Government Configuration Baseline).
