Explanation

This Information event indicates that the Microsoft Exchange Transport service has configured the SMTP Receive component.

Messages that are sent and received by Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 clients must be categorized on a Hub transport server before they are routed and delivered to their destinations. The Exchange 2010 transport component uses the SMTP Receive component to validate the message content before a message can be submitted to the Submission queue. To validate the message, the SMTP Receive component applies a series of receive events and also applies antivirus and anti-spam events, if those are configured. Additionally, the SMTP Receive component includes high-availability features, and it can apply throttling to incoming messages to help prevent back-pressure problems.

For more information about transport message queues, see Общие сведения об очередях транспорта.
