Start or Stop Fax Reception for a Fax Server

You can start or stop the reception of faxes for all devices on a fax server.
To start or stop fax reception
Open Fax Service Manager.
In the left pane, right-click Fax, and then click Properties.
On the General tab, select Disable reception of new faxes to disable reception of faxes in the incoming fax queue.
Note
You can also stop or start the Fax service directly to prevent faxes from being sent or received. For instructions, see Stop the Fax Service.
Additional considerations
To configure fax components, you must be a member of the Administrators group or you must have been delegated the appropriate authority.
To open Fax Service Manager, click Start, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Fax Service Manager.
