Export a Custom View

Custom views can be exported as XML files with an XML file name extension. The resulting XML files can be imported using Event Viewer. This allows custom views to be shared between users and computers.

To export a custom view

  1. Start Event Viewer.

  2. In the console tree, select the custom view you want to export.

  3. In the Actions pane, click Export Custom View .

  4. In the Save As dialog box, select a folder, enter a File name for the exported file, and then click Save .
