Explanation

This Error event indicates that Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync is temporarily unable to detect the user's properties in Active Directory that are required to perform synchronization. This may be caused by a network connectivity issue between the computer that is running the Client Access server role and a domain controller.

User Action

To resolve this error, consider the following:

  • If this event occurs infrequently, no user action is required.

  • If this event frequently occurs, do one or more of the following:

    • Check network connectivity between the Client Access server and domain controllers. Use the Ping or PathPing command-line tools to test basic connectivity. Use Ping to isolate network hardware problems and incompatible configurations. Use PathPing to detect packet loss over multiple-hop trips.     • Run the Test-ActiveSyncConnectivity command. For information about how to use this command, see test-ActiveSyncConnectivity.

    • Verify that the user specified in the event description has a valid user account.
