Explanation

This Warning event indicates that the File Distribution Service Failed to read the security descriptor from Active Directory for the offline address book. This Warning event may be ignored if it occurred during an Active Directory schema upgrade.

User Action

To resolve this error, use one or more of the following methods:

• Review the Operations Console in Operations Manager for detailed information about the cause of this alert. For more information, see the "Introduction" section in this article.

• Use the following Exchange Management Shell cmdlet to increase the diagnostic logging level on the General counter of the MSExchangeFDS performance object to the High setting:

  Set-EventLogLevel MSExchangeFDS\General -Level High

• Use the following Exchange Management Shell cmdlet to set the diagnostic logging level on the General counter of the MSExchangeFDS performance object back to the default Lowest setting:

  Set-EventLogLevel MSExchangeFDS\General -Level Lowest

  Important   After you finish troubleshooting this error, you should return logging to the default level to avoid filling your event logs.
