Explanation

This Error event indicates that the Microsoft File Distribution service could not find one or more offline address book (OAB) objects in the metabase. The metabase contains configuration information about the OAB virtual directory that links to the OAB objects. The File Distribution service requires OAB virtual directory information to distribute OAB files.

This event may occur because of corrupted metabase or configuration problems in the OAB virtual directory.

User Action

To resolve this error, follow these steps.

1. Verify that the OAB virtual directory exists. To do this, follow these steps:

   1. Open the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager console.

   2. Expand the Sites container and then expand Default Web Site.

   3. Make sure that the Default Web Site container contains the OAB virtual directory. If the OAB virtual directory does not exist, you can use the New-OABVirtualDirectory cmdlet to create a new one. For more information, see new-OabVirtualDirectory.

      备注

      You may have to re-associate existing OABs with the new OAB virtual directory. This process is referred to as enabling Web-based distribution.

• Review the Application log for related events. These related events may indicate a corrupted metabase. If the metabase is corrupted, you must restore the metabase. For more information, see Working with the Metabase (IIS 6.0).
