OALGen failed to open directory '%1' as the OAB V4 publishing point. The default location under the Exchange install path will be used.

Explanation

This Warning event indicates that an alternative location was set in the registry for the offline address book (OAB) distribution point, but the path does not exist.

User Action

To resolve this Warning event, perform the following procedure.

  1. Start Registry Editor (regedit).

  3. Do one of the following:

    1. If the OAB Folder Location DWORD exists for the subkey, change the value to the correct path for the OAB distribution point.

    2. If the OAB Folder Location DWORD does not exist for the subkey, create a new DWORD with that name, and then set its value to the desired path.
