(EST) Create a transfer journal and generate a transfer document

When a company transfers goods between warehouses, the person in charge of the transaction must print an internal transfer note to meet applicable local requirements.

  1. Click Inventory management > Journals > Item transactions > Transfer.

  2. On the Overview tab, press CTRL+N and enter the required details to create a new journal.

  3. Click Lines to open the Journal lines, Inventory form.

  4. In the Item number field, select the item that is to be transferred.

  5. In the From warehouse field, select the warehouse that the item is moving from.

  6. In the To warehouse field, select the warehouse that the item is moving to.

  7. Click Validate to check the journal, and then click OK to validate.

  8. Click Post in the Journal lines, Inventory form to post the journal, and then click OK.

  9. Close the Journal lines, Inventory form.

  10. In the Inventory journal form, select the journal that was posted, and then click Print > Journal to print the journal.
